Speaker Coverage Planner
Estimate distributed ceiling-speaker coverage diameter, spacing and an indicative grid from room dimensions and nominal coverage angle.
02 / Visualise
Indicative coverage grid.
—
03 / Estimate
Coverage geometry.
Coverage summary
Geometry first. Acoustic performance still needs verification.
This tool visualises nominal distributed-speaker coverage. It deliberately does not predict SPL or acoustic quality.

Coverage geometry only. This does not calculate SPL, acoustic treatment, directivity outside the nominal angle, mounting restrictions, ceiling obstructions or manufacturer-specific performance. Confirm final loudspeaker selection and spacing with product data and acoustic design.
Audio notes
Coverage is more than drawing circles.
Does this tell me how many speakers I definitely need?
No. It estimates positions from nominal geometric coverage. Final quantity also depends on required SPL, speaker sensitivity, room acoustics, zoning, ceiling constraints and the selected loudspeaker.
What is the listener plane?
It is the approximate height of listeners' ears above the floor. The vertical distance from the speaker to this plane is used to estimate coverage diameter.
Can I use this for line arrays or front-of-room point-source systems?
No. This version is designed for distributed ceiling-speaker planning. Point-source and line-array systems need a different coverage and SPL workflow.
